David W. Read, Esq.

David Read practices family law and estate planning throughout Utah. Prior to establishing his own firm, his practice was at the regional law firm of Strong & Hanni and later at the national divorce law firm of Cordell & Cordell.  David is also a professor of business law in the School of Business at Weber State University.

Utah Business Magazine’s list of “Utah Legal Elite” and Super Lawyers have recognized David for his expertise.  He provides clients with seasoned legal counsel as he focuses on the most efficient and effective litigation strategies.  He works closely and effectively with qualified professionals and expert witnesses, including business evaluators, forensic accountants, clinical psychologists, custody evaluators, social workers, guardian ad litem, and real estate appraisers.

David served as a founding editor-in-chief of the Utah Journal of Family Law. He also served as the Managing Editor of the nationally esteemed academic Journal of Legal Studies Education, a publication of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business.
